Our Focus and Priority Areas

The John Vos Family Foundation seeks to improve the lives of individuals and families by engaging organizations that provide access to support services, safe shelter and education.  In order to carry out their mission, the John Vos Family Foundation directs financial support to organizations that focus in the following areas:

  • Domestic Abuse
  • Homelessness
  • Job and Life Skills Training
  • Alleviation of Hunger and Food Insecurity
  • Early Childhood Education

Domestic Abuse:  We are passionate about ensuring that everyone has a safe, stable and supportive environment in which to grow and thrive.  We support programs that provide assistance to women who have been victims of domestic abuse as they become independent and restart their lives.

Homelessness:  We believe that no person should lack access to housing.  We support organizations that offer interim shelter for those in need as well as programs that offer long term housing assistance.

Job and Life Skills Training:  We believe that people who strive to better their own circumstances deserve a helping hand.  We support programs that offer job skills training and life coaching to individuals seeking a fresh start.

Alleviation of Hunger and Food Insecurity:  We believe that food nourishes both the body and the mind and strive to help reduce hunger and food insecurity in our communities.

Early Childhood Education:  We believe that the key to becoming a successful adult starts with a strong foundation.  We are passionate about educating our children in order to enable them to create for themselves a bright future.
